This piece represents a feeling of luxury and silkiness. I wanted to create the feeling of three-dimensional rope made of fine fabrics and jewels that throws off diamonds as it turns.
The act of collage is taking disparate elements from various sources to create a new unified image.
All of the work here is analog collage meaning it contains clippings from magazines cut out and assembled by hand.
All of the pieces are original and are the culmination of hours of sourcing materials, curating images, cutting, sorting then arranging them and finally adhering them to the museum board.
